VAKAVLAS heat exchanger

The VAKAVLAS type heat exchanger is made up of a sheet-metal frame, bundle of tubes made of U-tubes, distribution and collecting chambers with inlet and outlet nozzles. U-tubes can be smooth or ribbed with rolled-on aluminium profile. The heat exchanger can be designed with a horizontal or vertical direction of gas media flow. The bundle of tubes can be made as removable from the frame or firmly welded to the frame. The reducing inlet and outlet parts can be made with removable or rigid connections to the sheet-metal frame. It is used eg. as a flue gas heat exchanger heating liquids, or as a flue gas / air recuperator.

    VAKAVLAS heat exchanger has s wide range of uses. It can be called "middle class" of heat exchnagers according to the price/performace/efficiency ratio. We are able to preserve required performance of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger and place it in designated construction site space.

    Main properties of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger

    • Both vertical and horizontal design of heat exchanger is possible (direction of gas flow).
    • It has design variability.

    Additional informations on VAKAVLAS heat exchanger:

    Mutual factor of the VAKAVLAS heat exchangers is casing of sheet metal, tube bundle made of U-shape tubes and separating and merging chambers. This type of heat exchanger is possible to use in many applications thanks to its design variability. It is commonly used for example as a liquid medium heater or a flue gas / air recuperator.

    One of the basic variant of this heat exchanger is with plain tubes (used in environment with pollutants), another variant is with aluminium or steel fins (fins extends heat transfer surface).
    Another variants of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger is with removable tube bundle or welded to the casing. The same applies to transition parts, which can be removable or welded to the casing. We have created variable transition parts that are either straight or a replacement part for a 90° elbow. Thanks to their design, the transition parts can be equipped with inspection doors.

    VAKAVLAS heat exchanger is suitable for condensing mode, but it can also be operated as water heater or athmospheric cooler. We install this type of exchanger mainly for the use of waste heat from natural gas flue gas.

    In the prodcution program we have sub-variantas of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger. Specifically, VAKACUBE heat exchanger, where its design is based on use of two tubesheets and two water chambers, alternatively turnover chamber. Another sub-variant is VAKACUKO heat exchanger, where there is no tubesheet used, the tubes are joined by elbows amd water/steam chambers functions as alternative to collector/distributor.

     

    Advantages of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger:

    • Deaeration and drainage of water chambers in both designs, vertical and horizontal.

    • Possibility to split exchanger into the several tube bundles, for easing of montage.

     

    Disadvantages of VAKAVLAS heat exchanger:

    • Finned tube design is not suitable for environment with pollutants.

    • Inlet transition part has to be designed carefully for securing an even flue gases distribution into the casing.
